Hari Om PMS collects and processes location data (including in the background when the app is closed, minimized, or not in active use) to enable its core feature: Real-Time Field Technician Attendance & Site Visit Tracking.
Hariom Electricals provides industrial and commercial electrical contracting services across project sites, sub-stations, and customer facilities. In order for our workforce management platform to function as intended, background location access (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) is required for the following single core feature:
Field technicians, supervisors, and installation engineers are frequently dispatched across multiple customer premises and remote construction sites during their work shift. While performing field duties, technicians cannot keep the mobile application open on their screens while driving, operating heavy electrical equipment, or conducting technical inspections.
• Duty Shift Boundary: Location coordinates (latitude, longitude, timestamp, state) are collected strictly while the employee is logged in and actively working. No tracking occurs when the technician is off-duty.
• No Third-Party Monetization: Location data is strictly used for enterprise operations within Hariom Electricals. We NEVER sell, lease, or distribute location data to advertisers, brokers, or external third parties.
• Encrypted Transmission: All location payloads are encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS encryption during transit to our secure servers.
• Revoking Permissions: Employees can change or revoke location permissions at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Hari Om PMS → Permissions → Location. Note that disabling background location may limit automatic travel allowance calculations and requires manual site check-ins.
The app requests access to specific device capabilities solely for job-related tasks:
